feltplanet.com is dedicated to two of our loves, felt and our planet. Felt is a wonderful rich, warm and luxurious material that is also renewable, reusable and recyclable. All our industrial wool felt items are ‘rescued’ felt, felt that was left over from other projects and would otherwise end up as waste. Our 100% Virgin Merino Wool felts are dyed with Earth friendly non-toxic dyes.

We also use bamboo in our boxes. Bamboo is a beautiful and incredibly strong material, stronger than oak and with an incredibly rapid growth rate. It can be harvested and regrown easily and quickly providing a renewable source of ‘hardwood’ without impacting much slower growing hardwoods. A sixty foot hardwood tree cut for sale takes 60 years to replace. A sixty foot bamboo cut can be replaced in 59 days.

We limit packaging and use recycled materials wherever possible. We are always looking for new sources of recycled materials and welcome suggestions from our fellow conservationists!
